The Lapel Community Band plays regularly at the Paramount, in recent years inviting the extremely talented Chancel Choir from the First United Methodist Church in Noblesville and the Anderson Youth Chorele to perform with the band. The band plays concerts in Noblesville at Seminary Park and performed a children's concert at the newly opened Dillon Park. The band was the featured musical performance for four years at Cicero's Lights Over Morse Lake fireworks. The band has played at Davis Park in Anderson, at the Fishers Library and at Falls Park in Pendleton.
In addition to the above, the band continues to support the Lapel community by performing at the Lapel Library, the American Legion and other events as they arise.
The band is always seeking new opportunities, so get in touch with us if you have an event you would like us to perform. We are always seeking new musicians, and you should contact us if you are interested in joining us.
The Lapel Community Band comprises volunteer amateur musicians from fourteen cities and towns around Central Indiana, and from many different backgrounds. The organization exists to promote the appreciation of the musical arts in our communities by performing quality band music in a variety of public venues. Public performances enrich our community patrons' lives by giving them the opportunity to hear and enjoy classical band music, as well as other kinds of music. Performing for the public also challenges each band member to master a wide variety of musical arrangements, and to increase his or her musical skills through individual practise and improvement, thereby ensuring fulfilling and enjoyable musical experiences both for our members and for our audiences.
